Self-introduction:
Dr. Edith Yan has joined UIC since 2009 and served as Programme Director since 2011. She currently teaches Approaches to Second Language Teaching, Classroom Communication for Language Teachers, Discourse and Grammar, and Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis. She has supervised over 65 undergraduate projects on various topics related to discourse analysis, and language teaching and learning.

Research Interest:
Discourse analysis, technology-enhanced language teaching and learning, first language use in foreign language classrooms
